Staff Picks!
The next time you're at the Library, please be sure to check out our *STAFF PICKS* display! Matthew, Lisa, Donna, Sue, Regina & Eileen each choose a book to put on display, as a suggestion to our patrons . . .
Local Book Groups
The Library supports several local book groups, by requesting multiple copies of the monthly selection. If you have a book group, and would like help getting enough copies of your book for your members each month, please let us know. We can help! If you're interested in joining an existing book group, let us know that, too, and we can put you in touch with the right people!
The Upton Library Book Group meets at 7:00pm on the last Wednesday of each month, in the Memorial School Media Center. Book titles are chosen by the members and copies are available at the library. The group alternates between fiction and non-fiction titles.

The Senior Book Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 12:45 in the Milhaus Apartment Building, adjacent to the Upton Senior Center. Donna Kempton from the library staff leads the casual, entertaining discussions. Titles chosen are usually gentle, character-driven novels. Copies of each month’s book are available at the library in both regular and large print. Please call the library directly at 529-6272 to request a copy of this month's title.
Library Table at Senior Center
The Upton Library is pleased to announce the start of a new program to allow our patrons to pick up books at the Upton Senior Center. Each Wednesday from 11:00-12:00, a librarian will be at the Center to assist patrons with their library requests, including new library card applications. If you have difficulty getting to the library and it would be more convenient for you to pick up books, movies, audiobooks or magazines at the Senior Center, join the Readers’ Club, and we’ll have your items ready for you each week!
Pick up requested items, or tell us your preferences and let us select a personalized package of suggested titles for you.
This program is free of charge, and is open to all Upton residents.

Food for Fines!
The Upton Town Library will, once again, be participating in Food for Fines, to help the Upton Bloomer Girls collect donations for families in need this winter.
And even if you DON'T owe any fines, you are certainly still welcome to make a donation!!
November 28th - December 20th, 2006The fine print: ONLY UPTON FINES (from overdue items) WILL BE WAIVED (ie: if your fines are from other libraries, you would still have to pay those; if the fines are actually replacement charges for lost/damaged items, those cannot be waived.)
"Your donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries and household paper products will be accepted in lieu of overdue fines this holiday season! Donations will be distributed to the needy families in our community."
And even if you DON'T owe any fines, you are certainly still welcome to make a donation!!
